Retail staff are facing an alarming rise in workplace aggression and intimidation that threatens their mental health and personal safety. This personal account explores how post-lockdown customer behaviour shifted toward hostility, leading to incidents of physical threats and targeted harassment. By examining the challenges in retail security and the emotional impact of customer abuse, we highlight why many experienced employees are choosing to leave the industry for good.
