Retail staff are facing a surge in hostility as workplace violence becomes an alarming trend for employees across the UK. This report examines the first-hand account of a hair and beauty advisor who endured verbal threats and intimidation while simply enforcing company policy. By highlighting these systemic safety challenges, we explore the urgent necessity for better protection and support systems for retail workers who are increasingly vulnerable to aggressive customer behaviour while on duty.
