During lockdown and a world pandemic, Charmian was diagnosed with breast cancer, along with 16,906 other women who also got referred in April 2020.
It was scary and surreal but Charmian received amazing support from her line manager and employer, the John Lewis Partnership, so she was able to not worry about work and take the time off that she needed to concentrate on getting better. Charmian will be sharing her experiences on a panel about helping colleagues through trauma at work.
