We are building a coalition of brands that want to create a more sustainable and successful future for retail that champions the hope, health and happiness of colleagues.
Benefits of partnering with the Retail Trust:
We hold a range of events throughout the year including our colleague-focused wellbeing festival, Together Fest, and our Leaders’ Summit for senior retail leadership. Provide support at our events each year either by providing expert speakers, insights from your area of expertise or financial support through various partnership opportunities.
A perfect way for a whole team to get involved. Take on a challenge like an Ultra Challenge or work with us to create a bespoke event and fundraise for us whilst benefitting from a great bonding experience with your colleagues.
Visit our residential estates and take part in a day of volunteering. Think garden spruce-ups, helping with Halloween parties, or spending the afternoon calling the bingo! Our residents love having visitors for the day and it gives an opportunity to use the day for team building with your colleagues outside of your usual working day.
Avid baker? Keen quizzer? Put your skills to the best use by holding a bake sale, coffee morning or hosting a quiz to raise funds for the Retail Trust. Get your teams to spend some time learning about each other whilst helping the health and happiness of our colleagues. There’s lots of ways you can get them involved, the sky’s the limit!
Choose the Retail Trust as your charity for donations throughout the year. Or instead of sending Christmas cards, donate the cost to us instead. You’ll be helping so many retail colleagues to improve their wellbeing.
Provide a percentage of your sales to us or sell an item where the proceeds provide some hope and happiness. There’s lots of ways to become a business partner, just drop us a line to find out how.
Show support to colleagues and the sector by donating your single-use carrier bag levy to us. The funds donated will help us to continue providing much-needed mental health and wellbeing support for retail colleagues. Together, we can create a happier and healthier retail industry.
This is a unique way for employees to give back regularly to their fellow colleagues or for when they themselves may need assistance throughout their career. Hands on Giving make it easy for employers to set this up for their colleagues, contributions are donated to us directly from their pay, before tax is deducted.
If you find yourself with excess or sample stock, why not host a sale where the proceeds get donated to the Retail Trust.
“Partnering with the Retail Trust has been invaluable to us in helping retailers of all shapes and sizes to embed financial wellbeing solutions which make work more rewarding for their staff and in turn, strengthen their position as employers of choice. With the link between financial wellbeing and the health, happiness and resilience of workers so clear, financial wellbeing support is an employment trend which is only expected to grow in 2024.”
Peter Briffett, CEO, Wagestream
Foot Anstey and the Retail Trust partnered to create a certification which supports retailers in reviewing and improving measures they have in place to protect their workers and deal with any complaints of harassment.
“Foot Anstey continues to work with the Retail Trust on numerous projects to highlight the ongoing harassment epidemic which faces retail workers and are proud to partner with the retail industry charity.”
Nathan Peacey, head of retail and consumer at Foot Anstey
“At Dentons, retail runs right through our DNA and we have many clients operating in the sector throughout the UK and globally. We all care deeply for the success of the sector and the wellbeing of the people working within it. We aim to ensure they feel happy and supported in the workplace and beyond. By partnering with the Retail Trust we can support the sector in ways beyond providing legal advice to organisations. We hope to directly impact the individuals that make the UK retail sector as vibrant and steadfast as it is today.”
