“I’m delighted and privileged to become an ambassador for the Retail Trust. I see first-hand the difference it can make for those who work in our sector, and the support it provided especially during COVID-19 has been absolutely critical to so many of our colleagues. I know at B&Q that despite working with the Trust for several years we still hadn’t fully appreciated the level of support available, so I understand personally the importance and opportunity of our work as ambassadors to support more people to get help than ever before, at a time when that is needed more than ever.”
I started my career in finance qualifying with Norwich Union before joining the strategy team at B&Q in 2001. After working in several finance roles I moved across into HR in 2005, a move driven by the belief that the single most important aspect of any organisation is the quality of its leadership team. I left B&Q in 2012 to join Wagamama as their People Director before re-joining the Kingfisher Group with Screwfix in 2016, before returning to B&Q as People Director in 2018. I have three young children and live in a small village just outside of Winchester. I have a passion for adventure and endurance events which I combine with fundraising for Alzheimer’s.
